Colonel Scott R. Johnson

Colonel Scott Johnson was born in Kansas City, Missouri and raised in Talkeetna, Alaska. He was commissioned a second lieutenant in 1993 following graduation from Northeast Missouri State University. He is also a graduate of: The Basic School, Armor Officers Basic Course, Scout Platoon Leaders Course, Logistics Officers Course, Amphibious Warfare School, Command and Staff College, U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, and is a Secretary of Defense Corporate fellow.

Colonel Johnson's command assignments include: Platoon Commander, 1st Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Division; Company Commander, Truck Company, Headquarters Battalion, 3d Marine Division; Company Commander, Combat Service Support Instructional Company, Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools, and Squadron Commander, Marine Wing Support Squadron 374, MWSG 37, 3d Marine Aircraft Wing.

Colonel Johnson's staff assignments include: Operations Officer and Executive Officer, Recruiting Station St. Louis, Missouri; Battalion Logistics Officer, Combat Assault Battalion, 3d Marine Division; Division G-4 Plans and Operations Officer, 3d Marine Division; Operations Officer, Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools; Operations Officer and later as the Executive Officer, Marine Wing Support Squadron 274, MWSG 27, 2d Marine Aircraft Wing; Logistics and Sustainment Crisis Action Planner for the J-3 European Plans, U.S. European Command, Operations Center and Plans Officer, EUCOM Joint Logistics Operations Center; Deputy AC/S G-4, III Marine Expeditionary Force; and AC/S G-4, 3d Marine Division.

His personal military decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with two gold stars, Joint Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with one gold star, Joint Service Achievement Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
