During a large-scale power outage, the potential for criminal activity aboard the installation may increase. There are a number of steps you can take to reduce the possibility of falling victim to criminal activity.
During the evening hours, substitute hanging bells from your doors to compensate for electronic alarms until the power is restored.
Ensure your valuables are well-hidden or take them with you when you depart your residence.
Be extra vigilant; personally check in with neighbors-- keep a watchful eye on their homes and ask that they do the same.
