Captain Christopher L. Marion
H&S Battalion Company A, Company Commander

    Christopher L. Marion hails from Detroit, MI.  He graduated from Michigan State University in May, 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. He also holds a Master of Science Degree in Criminal Justice (2012). He attended the Combined Platoon Leaders Course at Marine Corps Officer Candidate School in Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA from June 2012 to August 2012. He commissioned in the Marine Corps in January, 2013 and attended The Basic School from October, 2013 to May, 2014.

    Second Lieutenant Marion attended Military Police Basic Officer’s Leadership Course on Fort Leonard Wood, MO from June, 2014 to October, 2014. He reported to his first duty station in Okinawa in November, 2014 where he was assigned to the Provost Marshal’s Office, Marine Corps Base Butler as the Platoon Commander of the South Precinct.  In September, 2015 First Lieutenant Marion participated in Exercise CONSTANT VIGILANCE 2015.

    In November, 2015 First Lieutenant Marion was assigned to the Deputy Camp Commander, Camps Foster, Lester and Plaza under Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Installations Pacific. In January, 2016 he participated in Exercise KEEN EDGE 2016.

    He began his current assignment as Commanding Officer of Alpha Company, Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Installations Pacific in April, 2016.

    Captain Marion’s personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon.
