Yugo Kaneku, a Japanese security guard, with Provost Marshal's, Office Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Installations Pacific, guide local residents during a tsunami evacuation drill on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Nov. 5, 2024. The island-wide tsunami evacuation drill is conducted annually to allow local residents to enter military installations where they will be provided with a safe and secure location. The drill aimed to enhance procedures and protocols for the personnel involved on the installation and local communities in the event of a natural disaster. Pronenko is a native of Illinois.
