U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Johnathan McClure, an accident investigation specialist with Marine Corps Installations Pacific, Marine Corps Base Camp Smedley D. Butler, is presented with a Navy and Marine Corps' achievement medal on Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 22, 2019. McClure received the award for using his Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training during breakfast with his wife, when he noticed civilian Jillian Romag lost her ability to breathe. U.S. Marines and Sailors with Alpha Company, 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force and Soldiers with the 302nd Engineer Battalion, Royal Thai Army recieve help from Thai locals constructing a school building being built for Exercise Cobra Gold 2013 (CG 13) at Ban Kuad Nam Man Elementary School in Ban Kuad Nam Man, Kingdom of Thailand, Feb. 5. CG 13 forces conduct engineering and medical civic assistance projects, cooperative health engagements, and other civil-military activities in the Kingdom of Thailand, in order to promote the security interests of the Kingdom of Thailand, U.S. and partner nations, enhance component operational readiness skills and training objectives, increase interoperability with partner nation forces, and serve the basic civic needs of the local population.
