RECENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

•  PCS/PCA - Facilitates the Inbound and Outbound process for non-accessions only (i.e., the Marine is issued PCS or PCA orders and this is not his/her first PDS/tour).

•  MCAAT Admin Checklist for Supporting Units – Inbound Join Process: IBI, Travel Voucher Interview (TVI), and SGLI election within SOES. Reference PRIUM Ch 12 Par 120103.

COMMON TRENDS

•  Members coming to IPAC for PCS Orders. Check-out with command S-1 to receive certified orders.

•  GTCC transactions for booking flight(s) declining due to not enough funds in account. See APC to request credit limit increase.

•  Members coming to IPAC or calling to ask for the status of their OBI. Command S-1’s and members can review the status of their OBI through the MOL module.

•  Dependent info in OBI does not match dependent passport which can affect the booking of dependent commercial tickets (SATO). Changing information after itineraries have been ticketed can result in travel fees from SATO and prolong getting flights.

•  Walk-ins for TVI rejections. Command S-1s are required to monitor and ensure the TVI reaches a "TVI-Settled" status and/or provide the individual Marine assistance when the TVI is delayed or in "Returned" status.

•  PCA IBI force joins without completing and submitting an OBI with previous unit. Not joined via IBI in a timely manner.

•  The IBI "MOL-Submitted" status and TVI completion not achieved within five days of the report date.  

•  The IBI is not set in a "MOL-Approved" status within 15 days of the report date. Entitlements will not be reported until the IBI is in a “MOL-Approved” status.

•  Members are not utilizing the TVI for supplemental travel claims when moving dependents to an authorized designated place/location. Submit an EPAR to request the BAH change.

 

KADENA HOUSING OFFICE

•  Inbound Service Members are encouraged to apply for housing prior to arrival. It will limit the amount of time spent in a TLF. There are two housing options when applying in advanced.

•  Port to Home.

•  The home that you select prior to arrival is your permanent home (contingent on inventory).

•  No Contingency housing or Temporary Lodging Facility required.

•  Sponsor will actively engage in housing selection & furniture setup prior to your arrival.

•  We will need your flight itinerary, your local Sponsor’s Name, rank, contact information and SPOA designating your local Sponsor to be able to pick up keys, set up government furniture and accept the house in your behalf.

•  Standard Advance Housing Application.

•  Will need Contingency Housing and/or temporary lodging upon arrival. 

•  Service member/Sponsor will email/call MHO at least 2- 3 days upon arrival to schedule Housing In-processing brief, kadenahousing.customerservice@us.af.mil. or DSN 634-0582. 

•  Termination of housing.

•  Pre-inspection 30-45 days prior to departure.

•  Final inspection 3-7 days prior to departure.
