Camp Director, Camp Kinser
Mr. Ernest A. Hill

Ernest Hill moved to Okinawa from El Paso, Texas.  He recently retired from active duty as an Armor Officer in the United States Army.  Mr. Hill has extensive leadership experience in training programs, deployment readiness, and combat operations.  He has a proven record of accountable results in volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous environments both within the United States and abroad.  He is a creative problem solver and visionary planner that takes abstract ideas and produces detailed, executable strategies.  Passionate about taking care of service members and their families, the role of Camp Director was a natural fit.  In his free time, Mr. Hill loves to travel with his family and enjoys exploring everything that Okinawa and East Asia have to offer.  Mr. Hill holds a Master’s Degree in Adult Education from Kanas State University and is a certified Project Management Professional through the Project Management Institute.  His personal awards and decorations include the Bronze Star with three oak-leaf clusters, Meritorious Service Medal with three oak-leaf clusters, Army Commendation Medal with three oak-leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal with four oak-leaf clusters, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two campaign stars, and the Iraqi Campaign Medal with five campaign stars.
